About Hydraulic Tube
1. Made of Carbon Steel, Grade ST37.4/E235 or ST52.4/E355 and is conform to DIN2391 / DIN2445 standard.
- ST52.4 is a high tensile strength tube, which means that it has higher permissible working pressures by reduced tube wall thickness, and leading to reduced system overall weight.
2. Working Pressure for each material grade:
- ST52.4 : 490N/mm² to 630N/mm²
- ST37.4 : 340N/mm² to 480N/mm²
3. Available Size: 4MM OD to 130MM OD or 1/4”OD to 2”OD
4. Tube Surface Finishing: NBK (Phosphate and Normalized), Oiled internally and externally which provides corrosion resistance.
- Metals that have been through Normalized process are more formable, harder, and ductile as the metals will be heated at a high temperature, and it allowed to naturally cool back down to room temperature by exposure after heating.
What is Hydraulic Tube?
Hydraulic Tube is also known as Steel Tubes or ”Ermeto” Tubes. It is a cylinder-like shaped tubing device that allow for the passage of fluids within and among components when attach to hydraulic systems. Each of the tube come with standard length of 6 meters long. The tubes are made in Seamless and Cold Drawn process. Cold Drawn process provides the tube with close dimensional tolerances, increase material strength, and enhance machinability. Therefore, the tubes are suitable in high performance piping system application.
Hydraulic Tube installation guidelines:
Step 1 : Cut the tube with a wheel cutter or mechanically.
Step 2 : Bend the tube manually or by using a hydraulic tube bender.
*A bending radius of 3x the external tube outer diameter is recommended for cold bending of
Tube.
Step 3 : Welding.
*Ensure that you go through 3 processes when welding. The weld bevel process; choose the appropriate methods; check your handiwork after welding.
Step 4 : The installation is done when both the hydraulic component and connected equipment has been installed.
Tips: It is recommended to use Pipe Clamps to reduce the tube vibration when fluid went through!
