PPG Sigmaprime 700 is our premium primer. It is specially designed to suit modern shipyard building practices and provide long-term anticorrosive protection for harsh conditions. It is ideal for use on water ballast tanks and is compliant with IMO PSPC class approval. PPG Sigmaprime 700 is a high quality, multipurpose epoxy anticorrosive with an established proven track record protecting assets from corrosion. When it comes to coating critical areas of a vessel, both owners and shipyards want to be sure that they are getting the most effective product with an established, proven track record. This coating offers excellent and long-lasting cracking resistance, even after multiple immersion and temperature cycles. The excellent performance of the coating provides customers with significant savings by avoiding complex and lengthy repair procedures and by allowing the vessel to immediately resume its commercial operations after inspection. PPG Sigmaprime 700 offers excellent water and corrosion resistance when applied to steel and non-ferrous metals, exhibiting excellent adhesion, flow and wetting properties, as well as outstanding crack resistance and edge retention. Providing exceptional anticorrosive protection due to its excellent adhesive qualities on shop primer, steel (blasted or mechanically pre-treated), aluminium, stainless steel, galvanized steel and hydro-jetted surfaces. PPG Sigmaprime 700 universal primer can also be over-coated with virtually all other coating types, such as
