Ppg SigmaFast 278 Epoxy Primer Zinc Phosphate (fast Drying) Red‑brown

Two-component high-solids, rapid-drying zinc phosphate epoxy primer and build coat.

Key Features / Best Uses:

• Cures at low temperatures down to –5°C
• Provides excellent corrosion resistance in atmospheric conditions
• Available in limited range of MIO colours with flat/matt finish
• Suitable for blast-cleaned steel to ISO Sa2½; manual power tool cleaning also acceptable
• Can be applied on galvanized steel if degreased, salts removed, and surface keyed

Application:

• Thinning: Only with PPG Thinners 91-92
• Recommended method: Airless spray
• Alternative: Solvent-resistant mini roller; brush may leave marks due to thixotropic nature
• UV Notes: As an epoxy coating, top coat may yellow slightly under UV exposure; this does not affect performance and can be overcoated with UV-stable top coat later
