Sherwin Black Oxide Magnetic Particle Oil Dispersion 400ml BO-1
Sherwin's Black Oxide No. 1 is a black magnetic oxide powder mixed with a light oil to form a suspension in a convenient to use aerosol can. This Visible Wet Method Particle is used to find microscopic cracks in ferrous metals during magnetic particle inspection (MPI). Black Oxide No. 1 is highly sensitive for inspecting critical parts, where the particles in suspension collect at, and mark indications. Black Oxide No. 1 is most often used with White Contrast Point (CP-2), where the technique is called Black on White.
