Now you can venture into the night while you're hunting, hiking, or camping with the 2780R LED Headlamp from Pelican. The main LED illuminates everything in front of you to keep you from stumbling over unseen obstacles. The downcast LED illuminates everything below, delivering downward light at a 45° angle, so it's great for use while walking on dark paths, reading, or for having face-to face conversations without blinding the other party. This LED can be used in conjunction with, or independently, from the front-facing LED. For an expanded view switch to Main/Downcast Combo LED Mode, which puts out 558 lumens of light. The dual-action mode switch toggles the LED's on/off with button functionality that lets you adjust light outputs.
Powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, the headlamp can be charged via the included USB cable. A battery status indicator lights up while the headlamp is in use to show remaining battery capacity. With both LEDs turned on, the headlamp runs for 2 hours in high mode (558 lumens), 3 hours in medium mode (213 lumens), and 7 hours 30 minutes in low mode (95 lumens). In flashing mode, the headlamp can be used as a beacon, and it features a rear-facing dual-mode red LED for identification from behind.
Constructed of polycarbonate polymer, the headlamp comes with three interchangeable cover colors: black, white, and photoluminescent (glow in the dark). The head pivots 70° to direct the light where needed, and the cloth headband is completely adjustable. The headlamp is rated IPX4, which means it's water-resistant.
