Smart, Stylish Waste Disposal with the EKO Vintage EK9184 Sensor Bin

Bring together touchless convenience, compact dimensions, quiet operation, and distinctive contemporary styling with the EKO Vintage EK9184 Sensor Bin.

Designed for hygienic and convenient everyday waste disposal, the EKO Vintage features automatic hands-free operation that allows the lid to open with a simple wave of the hand. Its soft-close lid then provides a smooth and quiet closing action after use.

For additional control, the EK9184 also features manual touch-button operation and a dynamic display, giving users greater flexibility when operating the bin.

Available in 15L and 20L capacities and three distinctive colours — Vanilla Cream, Sea Salt Blue, and Sakura Pink — the EKO Vintage combines smart waste-disposal technology with a compact design suitable for modern homes and offices.

Key Features of the EKO Vintage EK9184

1. Automatic Hands-Free Sensor Operation

The defining feature of the EKO Vintage EK9184 is its automatic hands-free opening system.

With a simple wave of the hand, the bin automatically opens, allowing users to dispose of rubbish without manually lifting the lid.

This touchless operation provides greater convenience during everyday waste disposal and reduces the need for direct hand contact with the bin lid.

It is particularly useful when your hands are occupied while preparing food, cleaning, working, or carrying rubbish.

2. Soft-Close Lid for Quiet Operation

The EKO Vintage Sensor Bin features a soft-close lid designed to provide a quiet and smooth closing action.

Instead of the lid abruptly slamming shut after use, the controlled closing mechanism creates a more refined everyday experience.

This makes the EK9184 particularly useful for homes, offices, bedrooms, study rooms, and other indoor environments where unnecessary noise may be undesirable.

3. Manual Touch-Button Control

Automatic sensor operation is not the only way to control the EKO Vintage EK9184.

The bin also features manual touch-button controls, providing additional flexibility when required.

Users can therefore choose between automatic sensor operation and manual control depending on the situation.

This combination of touchless sensing and manual controls makes the EKO Vintage more adaptable than a conventional manually operated waste bin.

4. Dynamic Display

The EKO Vintage features a dynamic display designed to provide an intuitive interface for navigating its operational modes.

This visual interface complements the bin's sensor and manual-control functions, helping create a more user-friendly experience.

Together, the sensor system, touch controls, and display give the EK9184 a distinctly smart and modern approach to everyday waste disposal.

5. Available in 15L and 20L Capacities

The EKO Vintage EK9184 is available in two capacities: 15L and 20L.

The 15L model measures L23.7 × W23.7 × H37.9 cm, providing a compact waste-disposal solution for smaller spaces.

The larger 20L model measures L23.7 × W23.7 × H47.2 cm, providing additional waste capacity while maintaining the same compact 23.7 × 23.7 cm footprint.

This allows users to choose the capacity that best matches their available space and everyday waste-disposal requirements.

6. Compact Design for Smaller Spaces

Both versions of the EKO Vintage share a compact L23.7 × W23.7 cm footprint.

This makes the EK9184 particularly useful in environments where available floor space is limited.

Potential applications include:

• Kitchens
• Bathrooms
• Bedrooms
• Study rooms
• Home offices
• Office spaces
• Apartments
• Condominiums
• HDB flats

Its compact dimensions allow users to enjoy automatic sensor functionality without requiring the space needed for a larger kitchen waste bin.

7. Sophisticated Design with Soft Edges

The EKO Vintage combines a glossy finish with soft edges, giving the bin a distinctive and contemporary appearance.

The softened design also helps make the product more suitable for household environments, including homes with young children.

Rather than looking purely functional, the EKO Vintage is designed to complement the surrounding interior while still serving as a practical everyday waste bin.

8. Fingerprint-Resistant Finish

The EK9184 features a fingerprint-resistant finish designed to reduce visible fingerprints and smudges.

This helps the exterior maintain a cleaner and more presentable appearance during regular everyday use.

For a bin intended to complement modern interiors, the fingerprint-resistant surface supports the EKO Vintage's clean and polished appearance.

9. Removable Lid for Easier Maintenance

Routine maintenance is made easier through the removable lid design.

The lid can be removed when changing rubbish bags or cleaning the bin, providing easier access to the internal waste area.

This helps simplify everyday maintenance while allowing users to quickly replace the rubbish bag when required.

10. Three Distinctive Colour Options

Unlike conventional sensor bins that may only be available in neutral metallic finishes, the EKO Vintage EK9184 is available in three colours:

• Vanilla Cream
• Sea Salt Blue
• Sakura Pink

These colour options give users greater freedom to choose a bin that complements their interior style.

Whether you prefer the understated appearance of Vanilla Cream, the refreshing look of Sea Salt Blue, or the warmer character of Sakura Pink, the EKO Vintage combines functional sensor technology with a more expressive approach to waste-bin design.

15L vs 20L EKO Vintage: Which Size Should You Choose?

Both versions of the EKO Vintage EK9184 provide the same smart sensor functionality while offering different waste capacities.

EKO Vintage 15L

The 15L model measures L23.7 × W23.7 × H37.9 cm.

Its compact dimensions make it particularly useful for smaller spaces where everyday waste capacity is required without installing a larger bin.

It can be considered for locations such as:

• Bathrooms
• Bedrooms
• Study rooms
• Home offices
• Smaller kitchens
• Compact living spaces

EKO Vintage 20L

The 20L model measures L23.7 × W23.7 × H47.2 cm.

It retains the same 23.7 × 23.7 cm footprint as the 15L version but increases the height to provide greater waste capacity.

This makes it a practical option for users who want additional capacity while retaining the EKO Vintage's compact floor-space requirements.

Potential applications include:

• Apartment kitchens
• Home offices
• Office spaces
• Pantry areas
• Utility areas
• Other indoor environments requiring additional capacity

The right model ultimately depends on the amount of waste generated and the capacity required.

How Does the EKO Vintage Sensor Bin Work?

The EKO Vintage EK9184 uses sensor technology to provide convenient hands-free waste disposal.

When the user waves a hand near the sensor, the lid automatically opens without requiring manual lifting.

After use, the soft-close mechanism allows the lid to close smoothly and quietly.

When additional control is required, users can operate the bin using its manual touch buttons.

The dynamic display provides an intuitive interface for the bin's operational modes.

This combination gives users the flexibility of both automatic touchless operation and manual control within one compact sensor bin.

Why Choose a Touchless Sensor Bin?

A touchless sensor bin reduces the need to manually touch the lid during everyday waste disposal.

Instead of lifting the lid by hand, the automatic mechanism responds when the user's hand approaches the sensor area.

This can be particularly convenient in kitchens and other frequently used spaces, where users may be handling food, packaging, cleaning materials, or rubbish.

The EKO Vintage adds manual touch controls and a soft-close lid to this automatic functionality, providing additional control and quieter operation.
