CONVATEC Kaltostat Alginate Wound Dressing is a soft, sterile dressing made of calcium-sodium alginate fiber that converts to a firm gel/fiber mat on contact with fluid. It is designed to absorb exudate and to help control minor bleeding. It may be appropriately used for moderately to heavily exudating wounds including Stage II - IV pressure ulcers, venous ulcers, arterial and diabetic ulcers, donor sites, superficial burn wounds, lacerations and abrasions, traumatic wounds, and after - surgical wound debridement.
