BY-3001 Long Reach Stapler

A stapler is a common office tool used for binding sheets of paper together by embedding a metal or plastic clip (staple), through the paper and folding the ends of the staple over to secure the pages. The BY-3001 is a solidly built long reach stapler made mostly of metal and plastic. The pivot point of the stapler is a long distance of about 35cm away from the stapler bullet point. At both ends of the metal base of the long reach stapler, both ends of the metal base are re-inforced with a black plastic-base material to prevent the machine from slipping while stapling is performed. The bulk of the metal are sprayed painted as matt black. The main mechanism of the stapler is chromed-plated and enclosed in black plastic material to give it more durability. The plastic press-down button is also black in colour.

The stapler has a reach depth of 300mm or 12 inches. On both sides of the long metal base, one side have the mm markings, starting from 30mm mark onwards, right up to 300mm mark in 10mm-step. On the opposite side, we have the inch markings of 2-inch mark right up to 12-inch mark in step of 1/4-inch. These 2 measurements, together with the adjustable plastic wedge which sits on top of the metallic base (uses it to stop the paper edge), form the setup for the distance to be measured from stapled point to the edge of the paper being stapled (also called the Reach Depth). The markings mentioned before-hand is used for that purpose. It is very accurate. You have the option of either using the mm scale or the inch scale.

This stapler uses the 24/6 (Max no.3-1M) or 26/6 (Max no.35-1M) staple sizes for more robust stapling. The build quality of the long reach stapler is very good.
